Title: Turpin Overload from Charlie

When I found out Charlie was going to be at Nashville, well I was really excited to meet him.  I've talked to Charlie for years on the phone and wasn't sure I'd ever get to meet him.  Charlie knows a ton about the history and knowledge of turkey hunting and calls.  He's one of these Old School tuners.  He's having a bad influence on me by getting me addicted to Turpin boxes and Hen Boxes.  I just love having one in my hands and playing them.  I walked away with three and I didn't misplace my scratchbox like another feller on the board  ROTFLMBO

First one is an Apple/Ebony Hen Box.  Charlie said the Apple/Ebony ones are one of his favorite.  He even let me play his personal one.  These calls are awesome.  I even was able to teach Daryl how to play one.  Daryl ended up with one very similar to this one.  Of course, I had to help him pick it out  ROTFLMBO

Next comes two Turpins.  Charlie is getting me addicted to Bloodwood.  When I saw an apple box with a bloodwood lid... I knew it was meant for me :)  She plays extremely well and looks great too!

Finally comes an Apple/Hard Maple Turpin.  I have an all hard maple turpin from him, but he's taken a big liking to apple wood so I had to have this one too!

I've played a lot of turpins and I still think he's are as good as anything out there!

About time you posted those pictures. Very, very nice additions. Charlies calls are full of turkey.

Those Apple wood calls are freaking awesome. You are a fortunate man Mike. Those are keepsakes for the ages. Great and I do mean GREAT Job Mr. Parrish!!!

Mike, I bet your bank account is crying. Those calls are awesome. I did not get a chance to play the Turpin Style boxes. But I did get to see them. They looked awesome. I did play the Scratch Box. It is one of the best I have heard at the convention. Thanks Mike for allowing me to play your new calls. See Ya,NC
