I just received this Cedar/Butternut from Steve today.  I've heard a lot of good things about his calls and they were no lies.  The call is extremely easy to run and it sounds great.  Steve's craftsmanship and detail are top notch.

Big Congrats on a great longbox caller from a great callmaker Lou - was fortunate to pick up that same combo from Steve myself - it's pure turkey & Steve's a great guy for sure ... 8)
... I really enjoyed watchin' & listenin' to him run a whole flock of birds out of it, by doin' some fantastic soft callin' on that very fine longbox of his - & boy, can he run a call - no doubt !!!

If I could still hunt it would be with a long box. I know I have run a limited number of Longboxes and there a lot of very good ones on here. But I must say Steve's long box is the BEST and EASIEST I have ever picked up. I can't imagine a better more realistic sound. It would be difficult to equal and maybe impossible to beat. Plus one of the best people you would ever want to meet! Congratulations!
