Title: a long box from Marlin from the convention
Post by: jmck on February 21, 2010, 06:31:55 PM: Here is another Marlin Watkins longbox KILLER. He makes the turkey jump out of his boxes. They every single one flat out amaze me. They ALL are Killers ---they take no prisioners !!! This one is Wormy Butternur with a Cedar lid. It lives up to what a few guys here have said about his new little change. Marlin---thanks for the great box and I will be back after more I assure you man !!!

Fine choice my friend. Never heard a call made by Marlin that was not pure turkey. The man knows what a turkey call is suppose to sound like.

Post by: SOONER on February 22, 2010, 09:33:11 AM: thanks for the compliments on my call. it was a great show and someone gave me a nice surprise in my bag when i got home. it is a neat little scratch box made of striped maple with a cedar striker. i'm going to send it to a man in tenn. just so he can play it and send it back to me. i also saw a beautiful striped maple turpin style box call there that would go great with my new scratch box. sorta be a matched pair don't you know.

I think I was bust tormenting one of those two Walnut boxes I so wanted to buy also that I totally left and did not check to see all the items were in Charile's package. I am so glad to know its in safe hands my friend. I appreciate you getting word to me.

I also picked up a very nice Fiddle- Paddle caller made of Butternut with a few worm holes and a Kwila lid. It speaks Turkey very good and I intend to try it out this spring. All of Marlins calls are TOP SHELF and need to be hunted with.

I am so thankful for Marling comming up with that neat little treasure that goes with that set. I didn't have the heart to even tell Charlie what I had done.
