Title: A special thanks and what a convention!
Post by: Porter on February 20, 2010, 09:53:54 PM: First off I'd like to personally thank Mr. Mike Mims and Dave Hodgkins (Blackfalcon) on helping me get the most updated and accurate information posted on this site! I have a ton of pictures to post, but unfortunately, I did not have the best way to get them uploaded and on the site during the convention. Live and learn is a good saying and next year... I'll be prepared :)

To everyone I met, thanks so much and what a blast we had. I met so many new people, that it was unbelievable. I'll have a more thorough write up and I hope to goodness I can remember everything!

I've created so many new friendships that I never realized I would ever do. This site has a ton of great call makers and call collectors. It was so fascinating picking the brains of so many talented call makers and figuring out why they do this and that for. All of you have a talent and I look forward to watching you progress and continue to grow!

I'm sure when it's all said and done, my wife will never let me go again. This trip just made my to have list longer RkLu

Also, we did have a "one of a kind" Osage Roost experience. If you think ole Al and Daryl are funny... just add superstrutter and you have a real comical adventure :)

It was a blast. I was so glad to get to shake hands and finally get face to face with alot of the guys on here. I have made so many new friends here-it good to be able to finally get in front of you guys. Porter...I imagine your right--ole Superstrutter is a hoot--I got to spend a little time with him---he's gonna have fun and be enjoyable where ever he's at. There were a few guys I missed and I am sorry as I had to get back sat afternoon for a softball practice with the kids. I had a blast and am honored to finally get to meet you guys.
Congrats to all the great callmakers here that placed in the competation---this site really made a strong showing. Just goes to show the quality of the guys that roost here !!! A big congrats to all the guys that did so well.
This is the best site there is---closeness and friendships make it !!!
Hope everyone has a safe trip home !!~!

I'll do short boxes, then long boxes, and etc...
