Title: Good old Butternut

Here is another Butternut/Walnut combo I finished up today, she will have to cure for a few days, but she is really happy with this Walnut. The Walnut is from Civil War era barn, sent to me by my buddy Larry Gressor, he is a wood nut like me,lol, and if you know Larry, nuff said!  ROTFLMBO Larry is a great friend, and a riot to talk with, would love to go turkey or duck hunting with him!

Thanks for for kind words! The butternut tree was cut in Addison County, Vermont, and has made some nice calls, maybe it was a roost tree!  *bannana*
Butternut in my opinion,if it is a good piece, makes some of the nicest calls, it works well with a number of different paddles. It can also be inconsistent from one piece to another.
