Well here's mine. I had every intention of training her, but as you can see... she's quite the spoiled dog!

Man I miss that. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting that. I have owned several. Gr NT 1 and NT ch 3. I miss it every night it turns cold. Those look like whitey or Wipeout dogs. Who are they out of? I primarily owned Lipper and Sacket Jr. bred dogs. Had a Rat Attack pup that I ruined by pushing him to hard. Nt CH by 11 months. alligator by 13 months. Competition hunts ruined him. Have fun and enjoy it. I have walked more miles behind coon dogs than I care to remember. There's no other type of hunting that compares to it.

Both are out of fred on to which is out of lipper, Sackett bred bottem sides. I am personally not a wipeout fan most pups start late and have so much tree power they beat the coons to the tree, a lot!! This snow/ice is killing me this year. I started coon hunting as soon as I could walk, Almost failed every year of elementary school from staying out coon hunting. Have always hunted House bred stock in some form or the other.  I love comp hunting but you are absolutley correct in ruining dogs I pull my big dog out of them after they are pushed for a couple weeks if they are not getting fur. If I am knocking 1 to 2 a week out the big dogs stay dialed in. Radar has not been pushed hard, made Nitech in 3 hunts was 16th at AO, won Tenn st march of Dime hunt last year, never lost a cast, very balanced hound. Cuts a hole in the dark gets treed, drifts a track unreal, fast enough to push coons out of Big northern corn fields.  If you ever want to go you have a standing inventation, I'll hunt as long as it gets dark that day!

Yeah he sounds like a Lipper bred dog. I bought some of the Semen from Lipper about 5 years ago and bred a direct daughter of Sackett Jr. Only had three pups. The one I kept was a nightmare for coons. After several coons with the older dogs I took him out by himself at 10 months old. He fell treed on a hill side. When we got close he shut up. When we finally got there he had hung himself on some vines. I have not cut a dog loose since that night. The first and only coondog I owned was out of a female directly off Lipper and he was the best dog I have ever walked behind. Got killed in the UKC world hunt with 5 min left in the cast up by 200+. Trying to replace him and get one just like him is what eventually made me sick of it.

People don't understand the difference in a coon dog and just another dog. I have only hunted with three sure enough coon dogs. If it runs and trees most people call it a coon dog.

I miss it. I used to travel all over the place hunting. Half of what others call a coon dog I wouldn't feed a bullet to. So much money in it now it's hard to find a real balanced dog. I hope to get back in it one day. I'll just have to pony up AGAIN and hopefully there will be some of that Lipper semen left! I might have to take you up on your offer one day. Good luck with it.

I have a hunting buddy in IN, who has lipper seaman for sale, has around 15 viles left. He is who I bought Radar off of. You'd be pleased with Radar; Best dog I've "owned" bought him not trained him. I had a house's clint bred dog as a kid that was a coon killer, in thin coons was as accurate as any dog ever. I am now lucky enough by having Radar to be able to say I have owned 2 once in a  life time hounds.   Where you live?  western NC here,  Nothin like Lipper dogs!!! How old is the hung pup? did it hurt his mouth? why did you stop huntin him?  Like I said anytime you would want to go let me know. we have some young started dogs also. 1 house bred top stylish rebel bottem ...1 dozer top and sackett bottem ...............Glad turkeys aren't hunted at night I think I'd give it up and run dogs!!

I meant hung himself and he was dead when we got there. I live in West Georgia on the Bama line. About an hour west of ATL. If you read Prohound or Boodlines, you've probably seen alot of Timothy Ball's dogs owned by a guy named Johnathan Duke. I live close to him and we used to hunt together a good bit. I've hunted all over and even up into Ohio. I've owned several from different lines, but nothing like the balance and mouth of House bred dogs. I had a Rat Attack pup that was Lipper on bottom and it seemed to be a real good cross.

You're lucky to own 2 good hounds. Like I said, I had one that was unbeatable. I had another that I wouldn't have sold for 30k, but he was just chop mouth all the way. He was out of Million Dollar Elmo and those dogs are notorious for being chop. Glad to hear you're from the South. It's halarious to hear those Northerners talk about coon hunting. They have 25 lb coons that run up the first tree they come to. It's another world down here having 12-15 lb coons that like to run. It takes a sure enough track burner to put em up quick. We may have run into each other at some hunts. I have hunted in the Super Stakes, the Breeders showcase, PKC and UKC worlds, Autumn Oaks and the big one over in South Carolina. Beleive it or not I turned down 10k for the Rat pup I was talking about at 9 months at the Breeders Showcase hunt in Land between the Lakes Kentucky a several years back. Probably one of the dumber things I have done. He got ate up in a cast a few weeks later and from that point forward he was real touchy around a tree. If your friend ever breeds that semen let me know. That would be one of the few things that could get me back into it. I know they would be expensive but if you hear about it give me a heads up.

I will I talk to him all the time. He is gonna raise a litter out of it sometime. I already have a female booked and he's not even decided when or what he's gonna breed ;D. Sorry to here about the pup, I hate gators, they should be banned and the handlers should be suspended for 6 months! good talking to you if you decide to get back in please keep in touch.
