Title: Cedar Wood
Post by: creekrocket on January 31, 2010, 05:40:37 PM
This is from a cedar tree that was blown down here, near Savannah. I asked a buddy to cut it up for me, and here it is. I measured it for moisture and it was good enough to go ahead and make a few scratch box's out of it. I sent the rest off, so qualified folks like y'all, can work oyur magic. Thanks for looking

That scratch box is almost just like mine. I built them when I was a teenager. They work awesome. I have several laid out if Adam ever gets to them.Great looking cedar buddy.

Mike, how long you think the wood will hold that color, or is this the million dollar question?

It will slowly darken but keep most of it. The sooner it is sealed the slower the process. It is beautiful though!
