Title: Notice
Post by: Porter on January 28, 2010, 05:13:17 PM
Well the storm is quickly approaching here.  There are several members on this site in the path of this storm.  I know Arkansas (hopefully hunter22 can fill us in more) is getting hammered with straight ice :(

We are going to get anywhere between 2 to 12" of SNOW...  They have no idea and the storm will be here in a few hours.

Now they are talking as if power outages will happen :(  So if you do not see me online for a few days, you'll know what happened.  Hopefully the wheels will keep turning (I was gone for almost a week during deer season with no problems) and everything will be fine!  Luckily, this site has nothing but awesome members.  Too bad the admin brings the group down  ROTFLMBO

So for all of us in the path, take care and be safe.  I'll have some pictures of the snow as Charlie is wanting to see it.  I hope we get 12" to show off for him.  He's a Floridian and I'm sure the pictures of snow will make him cringe...

I been watching it, looks bad, we need to pray for that nucklehead Bruce! He took his boat and headed to Branson this morning for a 3 day fishing trip!

Bruce is on the line where they are not sure what they will get.  Ice/snow mix.  Plus he's on a trout lake...  That boy is crazy ....  :)

I'm hoping Rickey is further south than this storm.  Arkansas is really getting hammered.  They said Washington County down there had close to 1/2" of ice at 3:30...  Not sure if our news was making it worse than it was, but it sounded bad!

We could be in for a really bad night and day tomorrow. I am in the northeast part of the state in the foothills of the Ozarks. Predicting anywhere from 1/10 to 1/2 inch of ice. 1/2 inch of ice would be horrible.

Bruce told me last night he must be crazy for going on the trip. I told him sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade. Glad it is him and not me.

Rickey be safe and I pray your power doesn't go off down there!  You are going to get hammered.  Ours is supposed to be snow...  I can deal with snow!

I'd definitely not want to be in Branson area now!  Hills like crazy!

Wow woke up and guess what... NOTHING...  Our weather people are terrible.  It went all North and South of us.  Maybe get 2" out of it.  Arkansas looks like it is getting slammed!

I think Cosmo and Bruce probably woke up with a lot of snow too!

We have about 6 inches of snow here now and it is still snowing like crazy. It is suppose to snow today, tonight, and into tomorrow with an additional 8 inches. We are not used to this in the South. Good news is we missed most of the ice in my area. I am afraid the ice is going to hit in the central part of the sate where my three kids work and go to school.

They're saying we could get a little ice in N Georgia.  I hope not because a little bit of ice down here tears up a whole bunch of stuff!

Woke up this morning to 4 inches of the white stuff  *cool*...... This should be out of here by noon total of 5 inches..... We got really lucky a dry air mass called a" snow eater" didn't let it show until late last night. The more south you go in the state (KY) the deeper it gets. One of my properties has around 8-10 inches, my other has 7-8 inches the best part we missed the Ice  *dance* *bannana* *dance* *bannana* Be safe out there it's still slick!!
