Title: Excuse my ignorance, but where I can find....
Post by: amims5 on January 24, 2010, 04:09:52 PM
a list of the different competitions? I know the nationals are coming up, but what other big competitions are there for call makers? I am fairly new to this but I am finally comfortable enough with my pot calls where I would like to start entering a few of these things. I've always loved competition in anything and mainly it would give me something to shoot for and a little motivation. How exactly do they work? Do you just enter your call and wait to see what comes of it? Thanks for the help fellas.

You can go to the NWTF home page and on the right hand side of the screne where it has a drop down menu...pick your state....it'll take you to another page and you can choose calling contest.

The Georgia Great Outdoors Show in Perry has a working call contest.  Registration is due by February 1

Callmakers and Collectors Association of America has a fancy call contest in St.Charles, IL usually in April, but the date for 2010 I  could not find, but you can contact Herb  Ohley and he can tell you.

There is a Midwest Regional NWTF the last weekend of  January but the deadline has already passed.

North Carolina started a contest last year but I don't who sponsors.
