Just finished these

This first one is butternut box with walnut paddle

This one is all walnut, first one I have done but not the last. Easy to tune and sounds great

That all walnut caller is the first one I have ever done, wont be the last. I am lucky in that when I went hunting in FL last spring my buddy took me by a shop that had a dumpster FULL of walnut in 8/4. Not ashamed to say that I went dumpster diving. Even got some nice sapele. Dont think I will run out of walnut any time soon. Also have another guy that sells exotic burls ( amboyna, redwood, buckeye, thuya, corrugata, red and brown malle, just to name a few) and he gives me all of his cut offs that he cant sell. Just perfect for duck calls and a few friction calls
