Who on here loves Fall hunting? I know I'm one of the weirdos (of course anyone that loves Osage.. but I have also taken a kind loving to bloodwood and if you combine them together... wowzers :) ), but I almost prefer fall over spring. I know one of our members that drove to Canada to fall hunt with dogs! So I'm not sure I'm that crazy after all *lol*

Love fall turkey hunting and if you can do it with a good turkey dog it’s even better. Blessed to have had that opportunity more than once.

The greatest time of the year. Hearing that flock bust and the dog clearing them out. I love it

We are allowed 1 fall turkey in West Virginia. Dogs can be used but I don't have access to one so I fall hunt the old fashioned way. Just hit the ridge and call. They usually come in silent.

Love to fall turkey hunt! Its just a special time of year. Love the flock vocalizations, enjoying the woods, hunting with kids, shoot a squirrel or 2! Those fall gobblers are a good challenge too. And nothing eats better than a fall bird.

It was a very incredible experience to say the least! Quebec turkey dogging is in the very near future for us for the next Canadian excursion

I like to fall hunt better than spring numbers are down and I anit hit them to hard last couple of yrs but I love to bow hunt them in fall and cold calling a big tom is tops for me, tops!

In Mississippi hunting turkeys with a dog is illegal. Bird pop. Is so low on the River, there are not many fall hunters. You May have to walk 10 miles to find a huntable group, and I am too old for that. In my younger days, I think I tried every way to bust up a flock imaginable. I even tried the WHACK and BARK method! I tried it one Fall morning on a roosted group of about a dozen birds on Pecan Island at Tunica, Ms. I took a 4 ft. Stout stick, ran up under the roosted birds, about fly down time, and went to whacking the trees and barking like a dog. - They all flew the same direction! Later that Am I met my hunting partner for lunch, he started describing the craziest sound he heard about fly down time - across old river! Ha.! Mr. E

I recently spent 3.5 days hunting one of my favorite and best fall turkey locations without finding birds. UNHEARD OF! But it has been a beautiful fall and not finished yet. I could always load up on squirrels .... VERY plentiful ROTFLMBO

Fall hunting turkeys is really fun, especially with good dogs that can break them up for you ---it really gets exciting !!!
