Title: The crappie were tearing it up.
Post by: Jake St. John on August 11, 2017, 03:46:12 PM
So I Left my boat down at our River Chute so I could take advantage of a quick launch to get at them.   I went down there for the first time in 4 days.  My boat was sitting on flat level ground with 12 inches of water in it.  Talked to a farmer that said they got 12 1/2 inches! Caught one fish and -  it started pouring!  Nothing like bad luck!  Mr. E

Sounds like the crappie might even have been looking for shelter! That's a lot of water.

Went back yesterday and did well again in the same spot.  Wife hollering to give them away that freezer space is limited now.  Had a friend call and we are having all the high school guys for a fish fry at his camp.  That should clean out the fish and be a lot of fun.
