Title: New calls completed
Post by: Blackfalcon on January 12, 2010, 01:07:44 PM: Here are some calls that have come out of the shop, most of you are more familiar with my main style long box, etc, so I thought I would share these with you . They are tuned somewhat differently and with a lot of time spent on each one to get the sound I was looking for suffice it to say.
I'm pretty pleased with the way they turned out, I have one more to build (thought I had it and pushed the limit just a whisker too much around midnight), then I can get back to pressing matters,lol, (ie,something for Porter,,)

I'm not sure which call I would pick if it was me. That Butternut/Ebony is gorgeous and has an awesome sound. Butternut/Walnut is a killer in a half and then the Poplar/Cherry has more of my sound to it!

All three have a nice higher start that rolls over great!

Dave thanks for playing them for me. I think I kept him on the phone too long, but those were some sweet sounding calls! I know I'm going to have to have one of the Butternut/Ebony calls!

I am always open to anyone wanting to talk calls and turkey hunting, and it is never to long of a conversation. I learn a lot from you guys as well and value the friendships forged through common interests. It is amazing how a bird can obsess us so, but it certainly leads to lasting friendships and camaraderie! I really enjoy this site also, great bunch of people here!
