I’ve been seeing this buck on my game cameras since I put them out early last summer. I had never actually seen him until yesterday. I got home from visiting family about noon and decided to go up on the ridge and sit until dark. It didn’t take that long. A little after 1pm, this guy came running by with 4 does. After I shot him, I needed a little help to get him to the truck. My biggest buck to date.
The processor said the hanging weight was near 200 and estimated live weight at 260-270.
Green score on the rack is 140 with 5" bases.

Scott, hit him dead center in the Adam's apple at 75 yards through the woods. He dropped. I couldn't wait for a broadside shot. The does he was with winded me and started running.

Bill, it is a WV deer but I'll bet his Grandpa swam the river from Ohio. I now live a few miles from the Ohio River. Been a lot of big bucks taken here this year.

Same thing around me. Some really nice deer being taken. I was able to take a 5 1/2 year old, which is the oldest buck killed on over 1500 acres since I moved out here in 2001. Last year he was a an 8 but only pushed out 7 this year.

Firedup and I went to the Ohio Deer and Turkey Expo today and I took the jaw bone to have it aged.
To my surprise they said it was probably 3 1/2 years old MAX.
Dang, how big could be have been had I waited a year or two.
