Title: Not all Cracks
Post by: Jake St. John on July 02, 2016, 05:47:44 AM
I was moving my flatbottom boat to an upper landing with the water falling on our Ms Riverchute and saw this nice surprise mixed in with the cracks. They were following the falling water also.

Usually there is a small flock of 1 1/2 old birds hanging around the upper landing in the fall.  I believe they are feeding on wild grapes and honey locust bean pods.  I do not have permission to hunt them here, just fish.  I usually cluck with my mouth when I am walking down to the landing, and they are eager to answer back!
