I did call in a 2 year old for my boss last weekend which he took. Had 3 working today but one got sidetracked by a hen and the other 2 shut down when a cold hard rain hit. My season is over for this year. Hopefully next year I'll be able to get out and talk to some farmers and get permission to hunt.
I've had hens in my backyard all week but haven't seen a gobbler since I moved in.

Post by: GR8CALLS on May 18, 2016, 04:00:05 PM: This gobbler broke every rule, when it comes to going thru thick stuff. He came 400 yards through stuff I've had to crawl thru on my hands and knees. Got to 30 yards, just on the other side of a blow down and then...........wormed his way through the blow down! You could actually hear the feathers rubbing on the limbs and briars! 15 yards and here he is! 11 1/2 inch beard and 1 1/4 inch matching spurs. Nice when you can take a gobbler with a call you made!
