Ill be very lucky if I kill a bird this year...I have no turkeys on my lease this year. Gonna check the cameras this weekend and see if any are hanging around....Im gonna try my best though!...Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the invite Gaines, but ive got a few cards up my sleeve... I even got a gobbler on camera last week... Im gonna give it all i got! Maybe things will happen!
yall may be hunting out of boats over there if it rains as much as it is in Texas and Louisiana. LOL

I've been anxiously watching the river chart, and they still show it dropping today . . . BUT, it's now projected to shoot right back up tomorrow and be back past flood stage by opening day, of course. 

I have some new land to hunt through work and a buddy, so I'm going to give this drier land a shot on opening day, rather than boating to my hunting location (which seems to be the norm here in recent years).  If the river won't cooperate by the first weekend, my little flat-back boat is ready to go!
