Title: Rhodes style scratchers
Post by: callmakerman on September 28, 2015, 09:34:04 PM
that I built today. I really like the old school scratchers so I thought I would make a few patterned after another one of my favorites. The originals have cedar sound boards but I used walnut and or mineral poplar on these. Mine are pictured with one of the Rhodes callers. Thanx for the look  (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/callmakerman/IMG_0549_zpsypjfn9mx.jpg) (http://s14.photobucket.com/user/callmakerman/media/IMG_0549_zpsypjfn9mx.jpg.html)  (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/callmakerman/IMG_0546_zpsrdt72iot.jpg) (http://s14.photobucket.com/user/callmakerman/media/IMG_0546_zpsrdt72iot.jpg.html)

Looks real good, I have one of the Rhodes scratchers that I got at a yard sale and that thing still has turkey sound left in her!

Bill your doing well in keeping the old school scratchers alive and well yourself. For me there's something about these calls that really keeps me going and I can't get enough of them. Thanx all for the kind words.
