Title: Set for GR8CALLS
Post by: SS Custom Calls on December 29, 2009, 04:29:59 PM
Just finished this parquet set up for Bill. I think Bill likes to give you a challenge when he can.  ROTFLMBO They are made from Douglas Fir with Walnut endblocks and cedar spacers.  I'm very pleased with the way the calls turned out. Hope you like 'em!

WOW!!!!!! You two really did a fine job with these calls!! I guess I will have to have a parquet long box to finish this project off........ ;) Thanks for doing this for me. Can't wait till Spring to give them a good work out. Is this the first time you haver used Douglas Fir for a call?

Glad you like them Bill. Those are the first successful calls made from Fir.  ROTFLMBO  Had to do a guinea pig test first! Didn't want to guess on the wood combo for the parquets! Too much work doin' the parquets to toss them in the wood box!!  ROTFLMBO   We'll talk about the longbox.  ;)

Who ever would have thought that Douglas Fir could look so good??? Man those are sweet! DF is a hard wood to work on any project, I can't imagine how hard a call was to build.
