Title: Simon Everitt Interpretation
Post by: Old Geezer on July 11, 2015, 08:14:38 AM
Here is my interpretation of a Simon Everitt style call using Elderberry wood and a #50 thread spool.  I have only found one wooden spool so far with embossed lettering.  The barrel ferrle is from an all brass shot shell I had used several times in my old Damascus barreled Ithaca. The wood surface is finished by scraping.

Ralph, What kind of sound are you getting out of the call. Does it sound like your Roanoke yelper?
