Title: Curly Maple Crib
Post by: merocustomcalls on May 05, 2015, 01:03:41 PM
My wife and I are due in the third week of June so this crib couldn't have been done sooner.  I picked out the lumber from a local woodshop and it was slated to be thrown out because it was very twisted.  Most of the twist was right where I needed to cut the boards for short and long pieces.  I was able to take most of the twist out by gluing in the dowels.  The curly grain looks just like a fiddleback and is exactly what I was after.  About 30 to 35 into this project.

Click on the pictures to enlarge, thanks for looking.
