Lots of great callmakers out there. Seems the trend is high pitched and a raspy back end (screamers) Anyone yern for a simple scratch box or a single slate that just sound pure turkey.

There was a call maker at nationals who was playing with a soft calling pot call. I think it was Lonzo, if memory serves me.

That's a good question Mike. I LOVE all turkey calls, lol, and I'm particularly fond of a well made, good sounding Pot Call. I like a pot that does it all. I want it to be able to scream at times to cut the wind and to locate far off birds. That same call can be played soft as well just by using a softer touch or even a softer wood striker.
IMHO, D.D. Adams hit the nail on the head.

I know what you mean buddy. *up*

I like a short box that can tree yelp or be turned up to cut that wind or reach out.

At times I love to soft yelp gobblers. Depends on what I hear gobblers doing, or should say not doing. Anyway at times I love soft yelping.
