While in Nashville I was checking out the Earl Mickel collection and noticed a call for sale that I made for Earl in 2004. I was featured in Earl's last book and in the write up Earl and Steve Mann are talking about what their thoughts were about the call, so the next day I went to buy the call back to keep with my book and yep its gone :'( dang I took to long to make up my mind. Well I walked back to Jeff's booth where the guys were all hanging out and sat down feeling sick to my stomach. My good friend Steve Brown(mahogany man) walked over and handed me a box and said open it, I got something for you. When I opened the box my eyes teared up there was the short box I made for Earl. Steve from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! my friend

Mike I was standing there with Steve when that whole thing went down, I was really taken back by the moment, That was an amazing gesture from Steve who is a great friend, Congrats to you! Couldnt have happened to a better guy!!

Like Tim, I happen to be there when Steve made the presentation and I know Mike was in shock when he saw it. I had the pleasure of spending three great days with Steve to know the man has a giant heart and is a real great guy. Steve you are the man and congrats Mike for getting that one back in your collection! *up* *up*

Mike told me that story the other day and expressed how appreciative he was. I've only talked to Steve on one occasion and he is a genuinely nice guy. Very nice act of friendship :) too bad there wasn't more of that nowadays.
