Its always nice to realize there are still incredibly good people in this world
I just thought this was a perfect time to bring it to the attention of other members and friends what a gracious member did for me while I was once again unable to attend this years show.
I was fortunate enough to place in the Glass pot division. This was extremely special to me and something that has been worked on over the years. I had brought it up to my good friend Clint Corder that if he had time from collecting all of his hardware (awards) if he could possibly put a bid on my pot call in the silent auction. He eagerly accepted and wanted to know my limit, and after I told him he said good luck and hope ya get it back. Later that day I received a text from him, "Sorry Brother" you lost your bid.
I never did hear who ended up with my Pot Call, and I asked numerous people and no one seemed to know, (but most of these guys did ;D).
Sitting in my office at work this Past Tuesday my secretary brought me in a Package. It was from my good friend Guy Ruble in Washington. when I opened the box to my surprise it was my winning pot call. I usually don't get too choked up over things but this was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me, and I was and still am speechless at the generosity and thoughtfulness of Guy to go out of his way to do this.
I know a lot of you other guys knew all about this---Clint, Jeff, Bob, to name a few and I can't thank you all for thinking about me.
This will be something I can hand down to my Grandkids some day and will always remember this call more than any other!
Thanks again for everything

What a great story and that lumberjack from Wahongton State is a great man with a heart of gold. Many of us know him and have a lot of fun being with him. But in the end he is a true friend. Gregg, not only will u pass on the call but the story behind the call is the treasure that is worth passing along to your grandchildren.
