Title: The Shotshell That Keeps On Killing....!!!!

I really liked the .40 trumpet posted elsewhere here.   While not nearly as pretty, I have made a number of "trumpets" using empty shotgun shells from successful hunts.  I just drill out the primers and insert a length of rigid copper tubing...then adjust the depth of the tubing til I get the sound I want...a rubber faucet washer completes the mouthpiece.   Works for me!

Great way to commorate a hunter's first...or biggest turkey.

You probably noticed:  I left off the word washer...in faucet washer...for the mouthpiece.

Never thought of that and I'd love to see some pics of it too.  Assuming you cut off the crimps from the shotshell?

Unfortunately, no pics...I'm seriously techno-challenged....Sorry!

No, I did not cut the crimp off.  The only alteration to the shell is to drill out the primer....easy to do.  I'll pull one out of my grandson's box and get back with the pipe measurement.

Here ya go:   Copper tube is 1/4" OD  ...  4" long (Cut from a fill pipe, if I remember correctly).  Insert the pipe through the primer hole to extend only a half inch or so into the shell...epoxy the heck out of it.  On the one I just checked, I used a flat faucet washer;  I think the washers that are rounded on one side actually work better.
