Title: My best bird

Here is my biggest bird as of now.  This boss gobbler was killed in Howard County MO on my grandpas farm.  This bird's stats were 23 lbs.  12 1/16" beard and 1 5/8" spurs.  He was harvested on a cloudy drizzly day with not much gobbling activity.  Setting up on this bird was cake,  he wanted me from the moment my stricker touched slate.

Great looking Mo. bird. He's a hog.Nice spurs too..

This place was hot that 2nd week of the season.  There was another bird about the same size sittin in the same tree the next day and was just as fired up!  He flew down and popped up over a hill.  Long story short I missed an opportunity at a nearly identical bird....just misjudged yardage.  That was a season to remember. *cheers*
Here is what he looks like on the wall.  This was my first attempt at a homemade turkey fan mount.  I like how most of his beard is grey and just the tip is black...Im really proud of him.
