Title: My first wingbone

Here is my first wingbone call I have made. I am happy with it .I call it "Red Blood". It is made from my PA 2014 fall harvest, a 19 pound Adams county jake. I colored the bones with a homemade dye, made antler bisquits  and an antler lipstop, and made the leather halter and lanyard. I like primitive relics, and decided to do this call like that (besides, if I goofed up, I could say I planned it that way) LOL   I chamfered out the antler, to reflect the step down in the wing bone, and used 5 minute epoxy to fill the voids, which weren't many. I preserved the beard by topping it with two acorn caps . Special thanks to my two buddies, Andy Snair and Lee Bowles for their advice and inspiration on this. Actually, Andy said if I wanted to hang around any longer, I better step up and build a call or two !! HAHA  Well Andy, here it is .

Thanks for the comments everyone.  I appreciate  it , means a lot to have my call viewed. I was looking for a way to honor the harvest, and it turned out nice. Sumpin' to always keep and reflect on. I still have wing "B" to construct, and am working on an idea already. Thanks again !

Thanks again everyone, I'm already working on the second one, A different design , sumpin' I seen in a book somewhere. Andy sent me a PM yesterday, he seen it on huntingpa.com, he said I have now entered his trusted circle of confidents, a group he calls the "Bone Zone".  WOW ,   I'm in the Zone !!   :grouphug:   HaHa !
