Have a couple box turtle shells I have found in the woods and wanted to try making a call. Made this one up and put a little paint on it. Used a dremel to cut grooves at the top and bottom so the slate would slide in and have a little extra suppport.Trimmed slate with snips then smoothed with a mouse sander. Used two part epoxy to set in place. Artwork is sealed with a polycrylic non yellowing clear.
Thanks for looking *gobble*
