Title: Trying out the new woodburner

I figured if I was gonna do woodburning I needed to get a decent burner. The new Colwood arrived the other day and I gave it a whirl on a great butternut and cherry box made by Jeff McKamey.Finish has not been put on yet.Had fun doing this and learned a lot. Should pop a little more after final finish.  Can't wait to do some more!!

you have taken that plain ole box and turned it into something else---your work is stunning , a real treasure to simply look at.
I know the person who will get that artwork will cherish it---just hope he rolls at least one bird with it before placing it on a display shelf....I would be scarred to take a call with that artwork anywhere near the woods .
You did that call proud Kelly, ...I am proud you adorned my call with your talents.

Kelly, your fine detailed 'style' ...it's too early to say you really have one, reminds me a lot of Sarah Clark, that puts you in some very good company!
