Title: Erosion Series No. 2
Post by: trumpetturner on December 18, 2009, 10:31:26 PM: This is one is going out to a young man as a Christmas gift from his wife. I changed this one up a little from the first one...the whole body is carved, and there are four pierced holes in the carving around the bell where the "water broke through". I don't know if you can see them very well in the photos. My camera doesn't do closeups very well...good reason for a new camera, huh? Cocobolo and ivory mouthpiece.

Notice the bell is "back bored" or hollowed out.
