Title: It hit me today
Post by: Lonnie Sneed Jr. on October 08, 2014, 11:47:59 AM
Lord willing Oct. 31, 2014 will be my last day of having a full time job. I have thought about it alot, but it sank in today when my boss came to me and asked where I wanted to go eat for my retirement party. It hit home, I had just 13 more working days left. I told him a hot dog cookout behind our lab. was all I wanted. After 36 years at the same place I am hanging it up. I have plans to hunt every day of Nov. and most of Dec. with some trapping pitched in, and  a hog hunt to FL in Jan. I want to spend every day that I can in the woods with my  Dad. He is bowhunting now everyday by himself, and I go with him on Fridays and Sat.. Come Nov. I will hunt with him every day. When I get back from FL I will play the rest by ear. The Lord as blessed me with a good job, a good Wife, and a good Mom and Dad. Getting to retire is just one more blessing. Not bragging just happy. Gobblers look out this Spring *dance*

Congratulations on your retirement. I have had the opportunity to talk to your Dad a few times on the phone and he seems like a great person. I know you both will enjoy more time together in the woods
