Some of you may have seen the call set I made back in the spring from the old oak mine tracks salvaged by a good friend. I had a little left so this is the result. Oak is not a typical call lid choice but I really wanted to work this into a call. The lid and base are red oak stained black by 90 odd years of inundation in an old coal mine. No stain was used. Body is mineral poplar. Sound of the call turned out spot on. Very pleased with the results. A solid traditional call with a lot of WV history.
