Title: My Other Passion

While we all love hunting and call making and collecting, we all have other passions/obsessions. Mine happens to be BBQ. I love to BBQ. I have been wanting to compete for a while now. I finally took that step on Saturday, and entered my first BBQ competition. It was an amateur competition,  ribs only. There were 15 teams. While I hated everything about my ribs, other competitors really seemed to like them. I was really discouraged going to the awards ceremony. When they called my name for 3rd place, I was totally shocked. My wife hit me and said," that's you!"  Just thought I would share with you all.

Thanks guys. I was only 2.5 points out of first. This passion just kind of fits. I've never met a hunter that don't like to eat.  *lol*

AlsooI think we now have a official grillmaster for the booth in Nashville  ;)

  *lol* Jeff! I think the NWTF would get a little upset along with Opryland Hotel if I cooked in the booth. Although, I wouldn't charge near the price and it would be much better than what they serve inside the convention! !

Dang, LT beat me to the Tailgate comment...it's perfect Patrick and I'll bring the "Popcorn"!!!  Congratulations...believe I can smell those ribs from here.

Beat ole Snakeboots has another passion he is human ya know, it's callmaking, well really he does have another passion, it's callmaking, okay, just messing with y'all, his REAL passion is well....I can't keep a secret anymore, it's CALLMAKING!!!!
