I made 4 new box calls when I had no business working on them but I needed a break from the lathe. Here is one I thought you might get a kick out of.

This is flame box elder that is from a board that was cut to make pot calls from. I got enough from the board to make book matched sides and paddle from it the used a piece of spalted box elder for the body.

The light was terrible here since it is cloudy and raining again so the pics aren't the best but hope you can see it good enough.

Not sure when I've seen Box Elder with that much red in it.  Looks great Tommy.
