Al.......Al......AL! You being paged man! Wake up!
-
I have an SSCustom Limba/ Yellowheart shorty and that caller is sweet looking, runs easy, and is full of turkey! *up*
-
The second call from the left is a yellowheart over black limba.

What are the combo's of the 4 calls?
-
From left to right:
Walnut over Mineral Poplar, Yellowheart over Black Limba, Zebra wood over Mahogany, and Walnut over Butternut. All four of these combos are deadly.
-
Here's one I kept a pic of.. The call had a good high front and broke over pretty raspy on the tail end, as I remember..

I have a set from Mike Lapp but I'm having trouble getting the pics to upload. If I can fix the problem I'll post them.

What type of tone does that combo give?
Bill,
My Black Limba under yellowheart paddle call made by Marlin Watkins has a deeper raspy ole' hen sound....It really works well in the spring.

sweet.

Lou,
Awesome calls from Mr. Lapp. I hope to get a set from him within the next few months. He has a rather lengthy waiting list, but well worth it from my observations.
-
Rickey.
You will not be disappointed in Mike's calls. I haven't chalked these calls yet, but if they sound as good or better with chalk as they do without, these will be some turkey killers for sure. What wood combo did you order from Mike?
-
Lou,
I ordered a cedar over poplar longbox and a walnut over butternut box from him. I still have a few months to go before I can start looking for that set.
-
Rickey.
Make sure to post pics when you get them. I also have a Cedar/Green Poplar longbox and a Walnut/Green Poplar shortbox from Mike that sound incredible.
I'll see if I can find those pics and post them.
