A few weeks before Iowa I hunted Texas. This Rio could not resist gobbles from my pill bottle, followed by jake yelps on my Roanoke Trumpet. He topped the bank from the opposite side in full strut to investigate. The late afternoon sun really set off the red orange in his feathers. 23lbs, 9.5" beard, 1" spurs.
