Title: Homemade Rattle Bag

I recently cut a 4' piece of 3/4" PVC pipe into 4, 12" pieces to use for a camera monopod on hiking/hunting trips.  For carrying in my pack, I put the pipe pieces in a leg section of old nylon hosiery and tied off each end.  My grandson came into my shop area...picked up the bagged pipes and began rolling them back and forth between his hands as he asked, "What the heck is this?"   Guess what they sounded like?   Yep, just like one of those commercial rattle bags.  I'll be trying it next Fall!

Never thought of doing that, but yeah that would work!!!

Never even thought of using pvc for a monopod either... ingenious idea there too!

PVC monopod works great:  4, 12" pieces with couplings for "dry" connecting;  Bottom section is cut at an angle on the end for sticking into the ground, snow or a rotton stump...an end cap for the top piece is fitted with proper size bolt to fit the camera to be used......Simple and effective!
