Just getting caught up on some pics--here is our opening rainy day here in Tennessee this tear with my great friend Aubie Smith. This a part of the flock of the birds I have been posting prior to the season. We had a lot of gobbeling even though the weather was drizzley. After throwing Slaytons mouth call, a Twisting Creek box, and Ghostmaker pot, a Lumma trumpet and a Gary Vines caller at em--these two came to the gun and Aubie had the honors of counting our shot down as we shot at the same moment.

ya know--I forgot a VERY MEMORABLE part to this hunt..... *peep*
At the time the birds got to our setup--Aubie was to count our shot down as he had not taken one this season yet....so in his EXCITEMENT---he was on his knees, counted 1,2..3 and the shots rang out at the same instant and two birds fell. I turned to hi-five him and he was gone ??? ROTFLMBO.
I looked and there he laid on his back with his legs in the air...he said I think I shot your blind....'DID I KILL THE GOBBLER" -he asked....he almost fell also at that time laughing. The worst part was --I didn't get the phone ready for a pic quick enough as blood was already dripping down his nose. He began cussing and referring to the pain he felt. ASKED again--did I get the bird.
Well, as ya can see --he got scoped at the shot, it actually made him fall backwards on his back---it was hallarious.
Memories and stories of experiences are priceless---especially hunting with Aubie---something ALWAYS happens
