Title: Uncommon
Post by: tucket on March 28, 2014, 07:24:20 AM
This is a double spur a friend shot a few years back, just wondering how common multiple spurs are?

Neither me or any of my turkey hunting friends have ever taken one.  Nice picture of that rarity!

I killed one a few years back with three on each leg.  I think mine was only the third reported at the time.

Just talking to Jack who killed the first post turkey. Story goes this turkey was 25 lbs dressed killed in Greenwood NY next day Jack liked a 25 lb dressed in Naples. Only 25 lb birds he ever killed and two consecutive. Pretty blessed hunts
