Title: 2 for the Road

Birds are gobbling good here behind the house!  They been kicking into high gear when I take a call outside to final tune it!  RkLu Brought in a HUGE load of oak logs (couple of these suckers are over 2ft thru) as a start for next years firewood.  Summer projects are looking closer.  AND THEN THERE'S HUNTING... :D  Won't get too many more made this year.  Here's a couple I did get finished.  A wormy butternut with walnut lid and feather inlay. I left the wormy body alone, it was just too nice as is.  And a 1/4 sawn sycamore with padauk lid-base and accents, feather inlay and just a touch of deer anter on the handle.  I think both have the guts in 'em to kill a few.  The butternut / walnut is more traditional sounding. The sycamore / padauk is a loud and proud one! ;) I hear birds WAY back in... almost out of hearing when I lay into this one.

Beautiful calls LT.  Sure do like that feather inlay.  I know the new owners will be as happy with them as I am of mine.
