Title: Test Driving Calls with Lonnie Gilbert

Last weekend I traveled to Columbus to see Lonnie Gilbert. He was set up selling calls at a large gunshow in an old mall. Like any of us would do , I started to run through Lonnie's calls . After about three boxcalls, I hear a tree hugger approach from behind and in a shrill voice a strange woman blurts out " Guys I just have to tell you that this is getting very annoying ! "  I looked her way and in amazement I laughed and tried hard to bite my tongue and resisit saying the first thing that came to mind. I paused , thought a second and asked her if she test drove a new car before she bought it ? She lied so as not to go along with my question , and said "no". I told her I always test drive a car before purchase and she says" so you are telling me that you are Test Driving those THINGS ? I amswered "Yes" , and thats when she looked at me and asked " Are you gonna test drive ALL of them ? I looked her square in the eyes and told her " I reckon so ! " As she walked away I could hear her exclaiming to another booth holder " He says he is gonna test drive 'em all !!"
 When I looked for her , I noticed she was sitting in a booth that was selling socks and scarves !! Sock and scarves at a gun show ????  Some people ya just can't reach !

Heres a nice Gibson style box that I picked up from Lonnie at the show . This one sounds killer and will be hunting with me at some point this spring.

I carry a pan of brownies to most every show....when they get to really fussing I say "Have a Brownie"....so far it has always worked out

You gotta run the calls before you buy one plain and simple. She'll get over it.
