If a person asked you to make them a call and you found out that person had told people that they did not want anyone to know you had made the call for them nor would they publicly post a pic of it or comment on your stuff, would you still sell that person a call?

I guess the question was vague and leading. I should have just said that if you buy a call from a callmaker do not be a hypocrite. At least be honest enough to admit you have a call from that person whether you love him or hate him. Don't suck up to a callmaker just to get something from them and then talk about them behind their backs.

Not sure what the issue here is? Is this any different from a call maker asking someone, not to let anyone know he made a call for them? Sooner or later word leaks out.

The only person I have ever asked not to reveal that I am purchasing calls from them is Mckamey... and that's because he is such a lousy aim with a shotgun, or was it because he kills primarily jakes and uses JB weld to add spurs, tailfeathers, and beards to make them look like Gobblers.

What..a turkey hunter keeping a secret , perish the thought. I sell lots of calls to forum members who dont ever post pics of them. One in particular says he feels like a braggard if he posts new calls he has bought. He explains that alot of fine people who visit these sights arent fortunate enough to buy a bunch of custom calls so he prefers not to flaunt what he buys.
If you are ashamed about buying a call from someone who has a less than honorable reputation, then you probably shouldnt have bought it to start with. It seems like you are beating around the bush about a particular situation or callmaker.
Personally the onky thing I ask from a buyer is that they take my call hunting and if it plays a part in a successful hunt, i ask for a picture.

If they told people they already have people "anyone" that know. 2 people may be able to keep a secret but, 3 and it's on the news. Sounds like a trick question to me. Also sounds like that person would be advertising for you by telling "people" in a hush way. Heck I'd give them a call.

I have zero vested interested in the subject and I have no clue who Hunter22 is referring to and that's why i asked who the callmaker is. I get frustrated when people post a topic using words like "honesty, suck up, and hypocrite" but they don't give the details. I am firm believer that there are always 2 sides to every story. It just seems like Gossip to me.

Welcome to the World of Call Makers and Turkey Forums, some people just like to see others fail, some, help them along the way by bad mouthing, behind the scenes childish behavior.
Being the FRONT Man, will get you disliked, and the Call Maker in Question, will be left untouched, your choice.
What takes place on these forums, this thread used as an example, is done by Grown Men, acting like Children.
Like most things, groups in Life, your either IN, or Out, it applies here in the Turkey World as well.

I really can't answer that question, only Rickey I guess, I just stated that I have great respect for what he was trying to do, he is a good man & I really don't think he was just trying to stir the pot.

I don't care who you are, but if you are in business for yourself, you have to take the good with the bad. Stand up for yourself, because if you don't, the whole story will never be heard and any respect you think you deserve will vanish.

Life has also taught me some lessons too, such as to keep my mouth shut instead of running it when I shouldn't (learned that the hard way)! If a guy doesn't want others to know I built him a call, so be it. If he doesn't post it, so be it! I'm in this buisness because I want to be, not for the money I've made! I gave away as many calls last year as what I sold. I like doing it because of a passion. I hate to think it's a survival of the fittest and every man for himself. I've sold a bunch of calls to folks that have never posted them up. I don't need to be patted on the back every time I ship a call out. When someone sends me a pm telling me how much they like the call, that is just as good to me as posting it up.
