Title: Pierced Lid Bowl with Finial
Post by: merocustomcalls on December 20, 2013, 06:24:12 AM
Here's a project that has logged many hours in the shop.  The bowl is Patagonian Rosewood approx 8 inches diameter.  The lid is made from Padauk and Maple.  The Finial is African Blackwood.  The slits in the lid had to be traced out and individually cut out with a scroll saw.  Got about 20 hours into the project.  It will serve as a Potpourri holder for my future Mother-in-law.

Click on the pictures to enlarge, thanks for the look.

She's going to love it Brain.  You did an amazing job on it.

I would have never had the patience to make something like that.
