Title: Short Yelpers

Three years ago a friend gave me a small piece of Quebracho (from two words that loosly translate into "axe breaker", and it lives up to it's name).  This wood came from his family's ranch in Argentina.  After turning and filling the numerous cracks and knots I came up with three small diameter blanks.  I had made a short yelper style call in 2000, 18 of them, but none since.  The short yelper dimensions were perfect for these blanks.  Two of these are headed to my friend and his son.

Bill,  The short yelpers were the first calls I made to have a reamed interior.  I stopped making them when I got better equipment and began to make a more traditional looking trumpet in the same year, 2000.  The 1917s have the same drilled and stepped down interior as the Jordans made since 1996 out of the man made material, but with the flarred bell.
