I live on the Mississippi river and the Kaskaskia river drains into it just North of here.  The waters are infested with bighead carp.  I worked on a dredge crew two summers back where we had them jumping up on the barge deck in the hot summer.  The sun would fry the stinking things to where they stuck to the deck and we would have to scrape them off where usually the skin would stick to the deck.  *wha*
I wish there was some way we could eradicate them all!!!
