Title: scam alert with the NWTF relating for the Convention 2014
Post by: jmck on October 04, 2013, 11:44:51 AM
Well--the ole car shister got nailed  *fall*

For those of you that attend the convention and stay at Opryland---beware.

April at the NWTF sent out a email warning of this scam today, but it was too late for me.
There is a company called EHS(EXIBITOR HOUSING SERVICES) that has obtained vendor lists and are contacting us about a cheaper room rate.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING---
ITS A SCAM !!!!!

He called Russell and he asked him just how dumb did he think he was!! Said all the discounted rooms were sold out but he could move him 2 blocks down for the same price. I bet he could! Those rooms are even $100/ night. Russell told him he could get them for $160 thru NWTF. He said all he heard was click!!!!

Jeff, glad you got this taken care of. These kind of people need to pay for their actions, to the maximum. Russell posted that number, but I doubt they use the same number twice. I have had calls from people's numbers that I knew, just to find out it was not them calling. It is a shame that people stoop to this lowest form for a buck! My father had some shisters call him one time making out like they where from his CC company, offering a lower interest rate; BUT, they needed him to tell them his credit card number to verify it was him. PLEASE!!!!!!! What extremes people will go to to make a dishonest dollar. I'm afraid it is only going to get worst under our troubling times.
