Title: Butternut with Cherry and Bloodwood inlays
Post by: jmck on November 16, 2009, 12:37:11 PM
Got a call from Superstrutter last week and it got me set on trying something a little different than my normal locked in tendancies. He talked about his favorite combo being Butternut with Cherry. Well, I set in this weekend and made a few. I got busy all weekend and hammered them out. I gotta say, they sound great. I am going to use that combo alot more now. Thanks for the hint there Superstrutter !!!!  This ones a killer !!!

thanks Bob for puttin' the idea of trying that combo in mind. I have had 5 or so Cherry paddles for some time and have just gone on about my merry way doing things the way it was pounded in my mind that Walnut is best !!! I really like the sound og that paddle  and I am going to get me a 8/4 board that I am going to make a few bodies but ALOT of lids and bases from. There will be more Cherry tried now for sure. That thing soundes great and kinda fell together---I hardly had to mess with it any ---it is a natural born killer !!!!
