Title: Hudson Hen Boxes
Post by: M Sharpe on August 23, 2013, 03:53:51 PM
I got a couple new hen boxes from Richard. Man they are sweet. It's going to be tough deciding which one to take come spring. I had told Richard I wanted one out of mahogany; and, man, did he come through.
Rosewood over crotch mahogany

Another snakewood over teak

You certainly have some treasures there. I have two myself and hope to get another. They are some nice looking calls especially the Snakewood. Richard makes a great looking and sounding box.

This is the first snakewood and teak that Richard sent me. After 3 days hunting with this combo, I knew I wanted another before all that good teak was gone. So, the one in the first post is the last one he built for me. This one brought in two gobblers in three days.
