Title: Finishing Calls

Hey guys, what finish do you recommend? I know a lot are going to say CA, but there seems to be a lot of work, and problems with CA if not done just right.

Patrick, it depends on what you are finishing. Turners usually prefer ca , whereas alot of boxcall makers like deft spray or wipe on poly.

I use Tru-Oil gun finish when I can. CA for oily woods. CA can be a pain if not done right but once you get the hang of its great.

Has anyone tried hand rubbed tung oil? Just wondering.
