Killed this while opening the gate on my turkey lease in Mississippi.   Was coiled up with head up rattling about head high on a hill next to the gate.  Was positioned about 3 foot from my face ! Almost gave me a heart ache ! Decided to blast him since he had been seen near the gate numerous times by deer hunters. Didn't want someone to get bitten in the dark.  I did remove the $10 nitro shell and shoot him with a cheap 3 inch shell lol.

Got to admit, burning a $10 shell would have been the last thing on my mind....

X2 on the Mississippi Timber Rattlers.... My 10 yr old girl found this one after we walked past it about 5 times on the porch of an old cabin. It was about 3 feet away also.

That's a big snake !  Thank god above that he didn't decide to bite your kid.  I HATE RATTLESNAKES OR ANY OTHER KIND OF SNAKES !  If your like me, when I hear a bird gobble I never look down and really am not concerned about snakes at the time LOL! Probably will catch up with me sooner or later ! Hopefully Later
